Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI)'s Foster Youth Internship (FYI) - First Month
Beginning a New Chapter Hey Everyone! We have been in Washington D.C. for a little over a month now! There are so many things to share with you all. So far, this has been an amazing journey, that I never thought I would have the privilege of being a part of. I am so blessed for this opportunity. (This will be quite long because there is so much to share with ya'll :) First, let me tell you a little about this program and how I got to be here. Anyone who knows me well knows that my twin sister, Brooke, and I had an extremely rough life growing up. Because of the things I experienced growing up, I have an intense passion in child welfare, especially child abuse and foster care.
